    Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission announced the "Roadmap for Eliminating Incandescent Lamps in China (Draft for Comments)". According to the draft for comments, by 2016, China will completely eliminate the use of incandescent lamps for general lighting.
    The consultation draft proposes that from October 1, 2012, the sale and import of incandescent lamps for general lighting of 100 watts and above will be prohibited; from October 1, 2014, the sale and import of incandescent lamps for general lighting of 60 watts and above will be prohibited. Lamps; in accordance with energy efficiency standards, the production, sale and import of low-efficiency tungsten halogen lamps with luminous efficiency below the energy efficiency limit value are prohibited; from October 1, 2016, the sale and import of incandescent lamps for general lighting of 15 watts and above are prohibited. Among them, reflective incandescent lamps, spotlights, decorative lamps and other types of incandescent lamps and incandescent lamps for special purposes are not within the scope of elimination.
    It is reported that the final version of China's roadmap for eliminating incandescent lamps will be officially released on October 1 this year. The industry believes that the release and gradual implementation of the roadmap for eliminating incandescent lamps in China will bring certain benefits to related companies that produce energy-saving lamps and LED lamps.
